Commercial Manager


Job Purpose:
To manage the Commercial functions for the Business Unit in line with Divisional objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualification degree
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar role
  • Experience in the automotive industry/Manufacturing

What You Will Be Doing:
Commercial Strategy:

  • Participate in the formulation and implementation of the BU commercial strategy
  • Participate in negotiations with customers and suppliers
  • Manage key customer and supplier relationships


  • Prepare and review detailed product costing analysis for all new parts
  • Calculate and propose potential price increases
  • Lead all negotiations with customers regarding part pricing and requested increases
  • Lead all negotiations with major raw material vendors regarding part pricing and requested increases


  • Reduce Forex risk

Financial Reporting:

  • Provide analysis and support to management


  • Review and prepare sales and commercial budgets
  • Present the commercial budget to divisional executives

Financial Pack:

  • Review the Monthly Business Unit Financial Pack and identify commercial variances

Flash Results:

  • Review the Divisional Flash Results and action commercial variances

Weekly Sales Report:

  • Review and compile Weekly Sales Reports and manage sales margins

Internal Control:

  • Participate in regular updates of the Risk Register
  • Manage and comply with Internal Controls
